Arachnids are related to the arthropod groups which include spiders, daddy longlegs, scorpions, ticks and mites. Some species like mites and ticks are having economic importance of terms they transmit diseases to humans, other animals, and plants. For walking, they have jointed appendages like arthropods and hard exoskeleton. There are 4 pairs of legs present. For holding their prey and feeding, they use first pair of legs. Antennae is absent from arachnids. In temperate areas, their life span consists of a single season while they live more than a single year in warm regions.
